How to add the NBA schedule to Outlook Calendar
Use a calendar subscription to put NBA tipoffs alongside your plans in Outlook. Subscribing connects Outlook to a schedule URL it can check again. Uploading a downloaded .ics file instead gives you a one-time snapshot that will not follow later schedule changes.
These steps cover Outlook.com and Outlook on the web, using Microsoft's subscription instructions, checked October 22, 2026. The controls in a desktop or mobile Outlook app may differ.
Choose the full schedule or one team
Open the NBA calendar subscriptions directory and copy the Calendar file link for the games you want.
For every NBA team, use:
text
https://nbacalendar.com/calendars/nba.icsFor one team, copy its own feed instead. For example, Boston's address is:
text
https://nbacalendar.com/calendars/boston-celtics.icsCopy the address ending in .ics, not the address of the team schedule webpage. You do not need both the full-league feed and your team's feed unless you want their games to overlap in your calendar.
Add it to Outlook.com
- Open Outlook.com and sign in to your own account.
- Select Calendar in the navigation pane.
- Select Add calendar. If you cannot see it, expand the navigation pane first.
- Choose Subscribe from web.
- Paste the NBA calendar-file URL.
- Select Import, as described in Microsoft's Outlook.com instructions.
The Import label in that last step can be confusing. You are still setting up a subscription because you chose Subscribe from web and supplied a URL. Upload from file is the separate, one-time import option.
Use a work or school account on the web
Microsoft's instructions for Outlook on the web follow the same route: Calendar → Add calendar → Subscribe from web. Paste the feed address, then select Import and Save.
Use the account where you want to see the games. If the controls do not match, check the work/school section of Microsoft's current instructions before switching to a file upload.
Allow time for schedule changes to appear
A subscription does not make Outlook refresh on demand whenever the source changes. Microsoft says updates can take more than 24 hours. Repeatedly importing a new file is not a reliable way to speed up a subscription and can create duplicates.
If a tipoff looks wrong, compare it with the current team schedule and check your calendar's time-zone settings. NBA Calendar publishes confirmed tipoffs in UTC; your calendar controls how those timestamps appear in your time zone.
Games marked Time TBA stay out of the feed until a start time is available. The feed also does not invent unannounced matchups or give every game a fixed end time. An empty slot or an app-chosen event length does not necessarily mean the subscription is broken.
If games appear twice
Check whether you added both a league subscription and a team subscription, subscribed to the same URL twice, or previously imported a downloaded file. Hide one calendar temporarily to identify the overlap before removing anything. Take care with imported events in a personal calendar so you do not delete unrelated plans.
If you only want to check today's tipoffs and listed broadcasters, use today's NBA schedule without adding a subscription.
